Kijfhoek test operation postponed

System integration tests of the revamped hill system were due to start on 19 February. However, the system installation and static acceptance tests are behind schedule. As a result, the system integration tests have been postponed until further notice. Once the installation acceptance tests are completed, the system integration tests can begin. These tests are the final step before the planned commissioning of the first half of the hill.

ProRail is currently investigating various scenarios together with Siemens and DB Cargo to minimise the consequential damage of postponing testing.
